Synopsis:

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING SERIES • Is America ready for its first queen? If you can't get enough of Harry and Meghan and Will and Kate, you'll love this sequel to the New York Times bestseller that imagines America's own royal family--and all the drama and heartbreak that entails. Crazy Rich Asians meets The Crown. Perfect for fans of Red, White, and Royal Blue and The Royal We.

Power is intoxicating. Like first love, it can leave you breathless. Princess Beatrice was born with it. Princess Samantha was born with less. Some, like Nina Gonzalez, are pulled into it. And a few will claw their way in. Ahem, we're looking at you Daphne Deighton.

As America adjusts to the idea of a
queen on the throne, Beatrice grapples with everything she lost when she gained the ultimate crown. Samantha is busy living up to her "party princess" persona...and maybe adding a party prince by her side. Nina is trying to avoid the palace--and Prince Jefferson--at all costs. And a dangerous secret threatens to undo all of Daphne's carefully laid "marry Prince Jefferson" plans.

A new reign has begun....

REVIEW:

⭐⭐⭐💫

After reading and loving "American Royals", I couldn't wait to get my hands on "Majesty". The idea of America having a Royal Family was a concept that I loved, since real royalty is foreign to most Americans.

"American Royals" ended with such a cliff hanger and "Majesty" picks up right where the first book left off, which I really appreciated. While it did have its fair share of drama, the actual story was a bit of a letdown for me. I did enjoy my time with the Royals, don't get me wrong, but I guess I had higher expectations since the first book was such a huge hit and I couldn't get enough.

The story itself was very well written. The storyline, plot and characters kind of took a downfall. So much reality show drama, which while it is entertaining, it felt sort of exasperating. All the couple partner changes were a little much for me, but I understand that that's what keeps the story going and interesting.

As much as I feel very neutral about this book, I am anxious and ready to know what happens next and I am looking forward to the next book.

SIDE NOTE: Daphne is just as horrible in this book as she was in the first and is a horrible character and person. True villain, through and through.
