Synopsis:

Fake dating my hottest friend was not my smartest move…

The cocky ex-baseball player—and flirty playboy—is the one man I’d never fall for. Which is why I stupidly thought he’d make the perfect fake boyfriend.

As the reigning queen of the dirt bike racing circuit, my only goal is to win this next championship race. Except I’ve got a bit of a…
reputation problem. While my fans love my tattooed, bad girl image, my fancy new sponsor hates it. And after a recent media fiasco, I’m on the brink of losing everything just when my family needs my help the most.

So I asked Rowan O’Callaghan to fake date me to rehab my image for the cameras.

We’ve known each other since I was just his favorite bartender and he was the charming baseball god who swaggered into my bar to seduce every woman in sight. And left a trail of broken hearts in his wake.

Not me, though. I always knew better than to be tempted by his wicked grin and massive shoulders. Until now—when I suddenly have the huge, hunky flirt pretending to worship the very ground I walk on. Every fake kiss, every filthy promise he whispers in my ear, is starting to feel real.

But it turns out that falling for my fake boyfriend is my biggest mistake yet.

REVIEW

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Want to know why Kathryn Nolan is the QUEEN of sexual tension? It’s because of books like this!

Kathryn hits it out the park (wink) with “Off the Mark”. It’s sweety, sexy, steamy and heartwarming in all the best ways.

Rowan is an ex baseball player who currently works for his community Rec center where he found new life after his career ending injury. Charlie is a dirt bike racer whose bad girl reputation is in need of a serious overhaul, or she might lose her upscale sponsor.

These 2 are addicting to get to know and are soo cute from the very start. Ex-baseball player and bad ass motor cross chick? Gawd, that’s hot! (Rowan’s only flaw is he’s a Phillies fan. 😖 Go Astros!) Kathryn always writes fierce, badass women and I’m absolutely here for it!

They met years ago when she was bartending at Jolene’s and he was pitching in the minors. Rowan also had a reputation back then, but as a ladies man and heartbreaker.

They were always friends, right? So, it shouldn’t be a problem when Charlie asks him to fake date for a few weeks to help clean up her image. In the meantime, Rowan can try to score some sponsors for the center.

Talk about a slow burn literal years in the making. Because even though Rowan was a ladies man, he always had eyes for Charlie.

Gawd, the slow burn and sexual tension, I felt it to my core exploding off the pages. They tried to deny their feelings all these years later. When their hookup happened, my gawd was it hot! It took years for it to happen and if that’s not the best kind of foreplay, I don’t know what is!

In between the hookups that are flawless and passionately hot, they both come from hard backgrounds, with a lot of loss in their past that makes it difficult for them to be vulnerable. Watching them tear walls down made me so happy.

I love the community around Them. Rowan has his grandma, Eddie, Dean and Tabitha and South Philly. They are all so great and sweet and I found myself jealous of all that community that welcomed Charlie with open arms when she came.

This friends to lovers along with fake dating story is al you could ask for. The steamy scenes are hot. The banter is fun and it’s a good time. I absolutely loved this book. What more could you ask for ?
