Synopsis:

These two on-air enemies can’t stop rubbing each other the wrong way in the booth…and the right way in bed.

Theo
Whoever said “keep your enemies close” never had to share a small, dark sound booth with her.
Daria Stone is the infuriating host of “Choosing Yourself.” The name is almost as ridiculous as the concept. Permanently single? Please. The woman’s made a career out of rejecting everything I stand for.

I’m looking for the one. The right woman who’s ready for marriage and a lifetime together. Not some sultry, stubborn vixen who makes my life a living hell and insists a husband can be replaced by a curated collection of bedroom toys. And I know she’s wearing those skin-tight leather pants just to annoy me.

Daria
Dr. Theo Chadwick is a professional pain in my…workplace. Sure—on the outside, the man is gorgeous. But he’s also obsessed with finding his better half and getting his radio show, “True Romance,” syndicated so he can give false hope to lovelorn listeners everywhere.

He keeps pushing my buttons with his arrogant “expertise” about how wrong I am. I just want to see him snap. Maybe that’s how I ended up here, pinned against a wall with my legs wrapped around his waist…whoops…

Can these enemies put their feud on hold and play nice in a shared timeslot to save their popular beach town radio station? Or will their sparks burn everything to the ground?

Author’s Note: One-click if you love forced proximity, breakroom bickering, “we’re just getting it out of our system” one-night stands, a rag-tag crew of DJs, and beachy, retro boardwalk magic.

MY RATING : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

REVIEW

One of my favorite romance tropes is “Enemies to Lovers” and of course, Kathryn Nolan knocks this trope out of the park!

Daria and Theo’s love story kept me smiling from ear to ear the entire time.

Set in sunny California at indie radio station, K-Sun FM Radio, Dr. Theo Chadwick hosts “True Romance”, a show where he helps people find their soulmates and their perfect visions of love.

After being left at the alter 5 years ago by her HS sweetheart, Daria hosts her own show, “Choosing Yourself” where she declares herself “PERMANENTLY SINGLE” and is dedicated to learning and loving her true self and helps others do the same.

Their office feud starts almost instantly when Daria starts working at the station.  Two popular love shows with completely different messages is bound for some disagreements.

If I could give this book ALL THE STARS , I would.

From the beginning, you can cut the sexual tension between them with a knife! And the best part is that neither one of them know it.   I would’ve loved to have been a fly on the back wall when they had their arguments.

Eventually, their fighting gets so bad their station manager, Janis, gets involved and decides to put their 2 shows together, but it also may be to save the station.

Janis is a literal GENUIS! I love her character. Bad ass boss lady after my own heart. I love an authentic, genuine Boss Babe.

I took so many notes while reading this book. The flirting was soo obvious. Like how did they not know they were into each other?

Then one promoting event later, everything changed. OMG, did everything change. I will never again think of paintball and not think of Daria and Theo.

So many doors opened (literally
😉) after paintball. The late night office scene will forever be embedded in my mind as HOTTT!  I expect nothing less from the sexual goddess that is Kathryn. And humor to finish the scene was hilarious and totally Daria.

I don’t know what it is about Kathryn Nolan, but she always finds a way for me to see myself at some point of my life with her beautiful characters that she being to the page. In all the messy and beautiful parts that have been my life, there’s a Kathryn Nolan character.

Additionally, all the side characters are incredible. From Janis, to Daria’s mom, Magnolia (side note: Magnolia and Daria Stone?? How cool are those names?!? They sound so bad ass!) and Theo and Daria’s producers, Des and Elena. They added such life to the story and I loved every single one of them.

Theo and Daria’s deep conversations and thoughts on live and relationships are exactly the kinds of conversations I love having with different kinds of people. We learn something new with each person we come across and I think that is very special.

The number of places I highlighted in this book is unreal. I just want to keep all those memories . I absolutely loved this book. All the feels. All the feels.

Thank you for my digital ARC, Rick and Kathryn .
